    "I Would Like to personally thank each and every one of you for giving me the opportunity to serve as your new sheriff for the new millennium, as you know I will be instituting some new policies to better serve you, the public".

Including:

• Education and awareness on crimes against the elderly.

• Enhanced patrol techniques to target rural crime and vandalism.

• Introduction of a bike patrol, which benefits include: lesson town driving, saving fuel and brake maintenance, better coverage of business places, allow for better mobility during patrol, and allowing for deputies out of the car and closer contact with the public.

•  Expand the current DARE program to provide our young adults with a more conscious mind on the effects of drugs and alcohol.

• Build a better relationship with local police depts. and surrounding law enforcement agencies at all levels.

•  Promote an active public relations program designed to build a working relationship with all citizens of  Putnam County.

•  A community Policing program to get citizens involved in our fight against crime.

•  Create a Website to keep you , the public, better informed, and to install an 800 phone number for convenience.
