Drug Drop Off Box

As a result of a grant application in 2012, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office acquired, installed and has made available to the public a drug drop off box as a means to dispose of unwanted, unused, or expired medications. The Sheriff’s Office participates in the National D.E.A. drug take-back days and is pleased to be able to offer this drug drop off box as a way to accommodate Putnam County citizen’s need to safely dispose of unwanted, unused, or expired medications. The box is located just inside the doors of the front lobby of the Putnam County adult detention facility located at 1035 Heritage Tr Ottawa, OH 45875 and is accessible 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

The Grant was sponsored by the following; Attorney General Mike DeWine, Ohio Department of Health, Drug-Free Action Alliance, and the National Association of Drug Diversion Interdiction.
